Teen Vogue Reflection

Teen Vogue's covers are mostly shoot outdoors and have a warm pretty feeling to them.  Unlike Seventeen Teen Vogue is more high fashion and aspirational with the cover girls mostly sporting high end looks.  The clothing and background have more colours so the font colours and style are slightly less  bold and more sophisticated.  The magazine comes across as being more fashion orientated and this comes across in the headlines.

The photo shoots are very high end and polished and look more expensive.  In general the way in which the shoots are shot in more of a fashion based way than the obvious for a teen magazine.  Teen Vogue expects their readers to understand the unique outfits and unique approach to fashion.  The reader is generally more sophisticated and has the ability to understand fashion.  The layouts are simple with not too much overlay of writing.

I find that the way in which Teen Vogue communicate with their reader is more like an adult.  They don't patronise them but show them things almost in the same sophisticated way as Vogue.  It's not dumbed down anyway.

Fonts and colours are consistent throughout and in keep with the feel and image of the magazine.
