Seventeen Magazine Reflection

As you can see the covers are very wholesome with very smiley girls mostly teen singers or actors.  Also the way which they are dressed is not too provocatively with only arms showing and hardly any cleavage.  You can also notice that all of them have long flowy hair being blown by wind.  The magazine covers give off an 'every girl' vibe, they want to relate to their readers and they do this by portraying a happy celebrity dressed in affordable clothing.

The photo shoots are very simple with minimal props and in simplistic clothing again portraying the image of a relatable girl.

Mostly white backgrounds are used for written pieces with more colour and pictures than writing.

Seventeen gives off that typical girly magazine attitude.  There target audience is the majority of the teen girl market, the ones that aspire to be like their favourite celebrity just with the affordable fashion.  They play it very safe in terms of layouts; its all very simplistic but with a lot of bright colours to catch the readers attention and keep them engrossed.  Ultimately, this magazine is not really what I want my magazine to be like as it a very generic magazine for the TopShop generation.
