Feedback from Wafa and Reflection of Discussion

Having a chat with Wafa was incredibly helpful.  I felt I was getting lost in the concept of the 'teen' and was going down the extremely generic route.  I was looking into the wrong influences such as fashion and look into the more 'cool' alternatives such as vintage.  Its is so vital to keep to the aesthetic of the magazine being original.  These are some of the main points we discussed over Skype.

  • Every issue is a brand new sketchbook
  • Research into themes
  • Teen fashion brands - Vintage
  • Giveaways
  • Teenager fashion bloggers
  • Niche
  • Customisation
  • Illustrated characters
  • Size of magazine?
  • How many photo shoots?
  • Set up an email address
  • Get the press release written

100 pages - 10 illustrators, 4 writers, 1 graphic designer
